Hugh Symons Information Management has over 30 years experience in meeting the archiving needs of Local Government. As technology has progressed the needs of Local Authorities have evolved we have worked to embrace these changing requirements. We are now working with over 80 Local Authorities to meet their archiving requirements and provide the basis for their compliance to the Government directive to e-GIF.
We have adapted a two fold approach to meeting these criteria:
- Working with third party systems providers for the scanning and upload of images and related metadata into EDM systems
- By providing our licence free CDView software, either as the primary means of image retrieval or an additional backup to proprietary systems.
